CBD Oil for Pain and Inflammation

Pain

Pain management is something most people deal with at some point in their lives. However, over 100 million Americans suffer from chronic pain and spend over $600 billions dollars per year on alleviating it.

Pain takes two forms: acute and chronic. Acute pain comes on suddenly and is caused by something specific; whereas chronic pain is pain that persists for 12 or more weeks that can be the result of a disease or injury, or have an unknown cause.

Inflammation

Inflammation, the new buzzword in all things health, is another common ailment many experience. Inflammation is how the body reacts to foreign agents like bacteria and viruses.

However, some diseases like arthritis cause the body’s immune system to trigger an inflammatory response when there are no foreign agents trying to invade the body which then damages healthy tissues. These diseases are classified at auto-immune diseases and over 50 million Americans are diagnosed with one of the 120-plus autoimmune diseases that have been identified.
With so many people in pain and the high risks pharmaceutical drugs pose like degeneration and addiction, more patients and doctors are using CBD oil for relief. CBD oil works directly with the endocannabinoid system, which is a series of receptors designed to accept only cannabinoids derived from cannabis plants, chiefly THC and CBD. CB2 receptors of the brain are especially tuned-in to CBD for anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and immunity bolstering benefits.
CBD hemp oil may help humans with pain and inflammation, but it is also recommended for our four-legged friends. Learn more about our CBD Hemp Oil for Pets here.

If you are taking CBD oil for the first time, follow this dosing regimen formula for 14 days:

A person’s starting dose is 0.5 mL’s taken twice daily 12 hours apart and at least an hour and a half before or after any pharmaceuticals.
If no change occurs within 14 days, double the starting dose, then hold that dose for 3 weeks. Make note of any changes/relief.
If within this three week period change/relief is felt, continue with the same dose for the full three weeks before increasing. Then, adjust the dose based on what you feel is appropriate.
For more immediate relief, we recommend vaping CBD hemp oil as it is absorbed directly into the bloodstream for fastest results. There is no exact dosing that we recommend. Instead, use your CBD vape as often as needed. Many experience relief after vaping within 30-60 seconds.

CBD topicals can be applied directly to the skin where the pain occurs. Some research suggests that heat application after applying helps with circulation and increases effectiveness. CBD may also be applied for conditions like arthritis, psoriasis, and other inflammatory issues.

For daily and long term wellness many find it beneficial to adhere to a regular daily dosage of CBD oil and then vaporize CBD Vape Oil additionally for more immediate relief from sudden pain and/or inflammation.
